Do You Experience Neck Pain?

If you’re continuously stretching and trying to get comfortable with neck and shoulder pain, it may be time to address the cause of the issue.

Many people experience neck pain throughout their day – you’re not alone. While it is common, it’s not normal. You don’t have to live every minute in pain.

There are multiple causes for neck pain. It may be as simple as tight muscles. It could be a more severe issue with the disks or a nerve.

How do you figure out the cause?

Sites like WebMD.com, or Google can help to identify the issue. The best and quickest route back to optimal health is to set up a consultation and assessment to pinpoint the issue. This allows us to properly diagnosis your specific concerns, and prescribe the proper course of care to resolve the issue at its core, and allow you to live pain free.

Self-diagnosis is not the only option.

We often have patients come into the office who have tried over the counter remedies, which often leads to worsening pain or further issues. Self-care is not a bad thing when performed in the proper manner, but it’s critical to know whether you’re helping the issue or not.

What if it is a disc or nerve issue?

Disc and nerve issues in the neck are often due to abnormal motion, causing abnormal function, and a misalignment called a subluxation. A subluxation is when one or more of the bones in the spine is not moving properly, causing stress and irritation to the spinal nerves. This is what leads to chronic aches and pains. The good news is there is a solution.

Based on an exam and evaluation, we can determine whether or not your neck pain is coming from a nerve problem, a joint problem, a muscle or even a disc, and prescribe the right solution. In many cases this can be exercises, therapy, or chiropractic adjustments. By getting the spine moving again, and taking the pressure off the nervous system, it allows you to not only feel well, but also continue to function better.

Our goal is to get you back to doing the things you want to do without the nagging aches and pains.
